About Us
We are two hard-working and passionate students (Mason Minkin and Uday Vissa) at John Burroughs School in Ladue, Missouri. We always have had a love for education and to see others succeed but were unaware of the widespread pressure affecting students in the Saint Louis Area. After discussion with a family who moved their students to a different school, we realized it was due to these pressures and struggles. After further conversation with more members of our community, we realized many other children and families were experiencing the same problems: the increasing pressure on teachers and lack of an efficient classroom experience. Through months of planning, we launched Saint Louis Head Start Organization for Education with the belief that no student should have a compromised education due to circumstances outside of a student's control.
Our Process
Step 1: Identify
STLHSO will first identify problems by examining the classroom and educational experience in a hands-on approach.
Step 4: Take Action
STLHSO will implement the solutions through cooperation of school officials and classroom staff.
Step 2: Discussion
STLHSO will meet with school officials and staff to discuss possible solutions to solve problems identified in Step 1.
Step 3: Research and Planning
STLHSO will discuss how to obtain resources and distribute funds to implement the solutions in classroom environments.
